Automotive Injection Molding
Produce repeatable custom plastic parts using standard, multi-cavity, insert, overmolding, two-shot or gas-assisted molding processes selected for your geometry and production goals. Dimud’s injection molding equipment spans 50 to 1,000 tons, supporting both precision components and larger molded parts.
Automotive Mold Design and Manufacturing
The performance of a molded automotive part begins with the tool. Our mold team designs the cavity layout, runner and gate system, cooling, venting, ejection and steel specification around resin behavior, cosmetic requirements, expected volume and maintenance needs.
Tooling options may include prototype or bridge tooling, hardened production molds, family molds and multi-cavity molds. Before release, customers can review the mold design and agreed critical features.
Rapid Prototyping and CNC Machining
Use 3D printing or CNC machining to check fit, packaging, assembly and functional risks before committing to production tooling. CNC machining also supports mold components, metal inserts, fixtures and complementary metal parts used in a larger assembly.
Secondary Processing and Assembly
